COVID-19 Resources and Changes

===================January 7th, 2021===================

All Office Open Regularly Scheduled Hours Starting January 7th. 
Starting January 7th all of our offices will be open regularly scheduled hours. The health and safety of our members and our team is very important to us therefore, with the lobbies open we are still asking everyone coming in to ensure they wear a mask, keep 6 feet of social distance and limit the time in the building to 15 minutes or less. Thank you, again for all of your patience while we work through these difficult months. We look forward to serving you again and seeing you all in person.

Drive Up Hours Returning to Normal
Starting on December 14th, our drive ups in Hoyt Lakes and Biwabik will return to normal drive up hours. Lobbies will remain open by appointment only. We are committed to serving you as best we can and we are dedicated to re-opening our lobbies when it is safe to do so. Thank you all for your patience, dedication, and participation in your credit union.

Office hours expanding and Biwabik Office Re-Opening

Thank you all for your patience as we work through the temporary office closures. We know the challenges of this pandemic are bringing hardship to everyone and appreciate your understanding as we work to keep our staff and members safe and healthy. Starting on November 30th our hours will be expanding and the drive up in Biwabik will be available once more. For now our lobbies will remain closed, however, we are assessing the situation weekly and hope to return to more normal operations as soon as it is safe.

Temporary office closures

With the large spike in COVID-19 cases in our region and many people getting tested and quarantining for the health and safety of our communities we’ve had to temporarily close a number of offices. We are working diligently to ensure that everyone has safe and timely access to credit union services and we will be restoring general operations as soon as possible.

Appointments Required Effective 11/16/2020

As an essential business, NorthRidge has remained open through the COVID-19 pandemic, serving our members through various channels (and we are so grateful for your loyalty). In recent weeks, we’ve seen a spike in COVID-19 cases in Minnesota and many neighboring states. With the increase in cases, we have had more team members having to quarantine which is having an impact on our operations. We believe it’s important we do what we can to help contain the spread of the virus.  In order to protect our members and our team, we will be adjusting how we serve you.

Beginning on Monday, November 16, we will be closing our lobbies to walk-in traffic. We will begin offering limited appointment-only services — should an in-person meeting be essential — in our branch lobbies.
Our drive-thru or curbside services will continue with the following changes: 

  • Hoyt Lakes drive-up 8:30am to 4:30pm – Closed from 11:30am to 12:00pm daily
  • Virginia drive-up 8:30am to 4:30pm – Closed from 11:30am to 12:00pm daily
  • Biwabik drive-up 12:00pm to 4:00pm
  • Ely curbside – 12:00pm to 4:00pm
  • Hibbing curbside – 12:00pm to 4:00pm

In person Appointments will be subject to our Team’s availability.

As we plan to re-open our lobbies, we are focused on maintaining the safety, health and well-being of our team and all of our members. In order to do this, we have had to adjust some of our practices and create some simple restrictions. Read More Here

===================March 25th, 2020===================

Governor Tim Walz Issues Executive Order 20-20 Directing Minnesotans to Stay at Home

Effective Friday March 27th 11:59PM till Friday April 10th, Minnesota will be under a “Stay-at-Home” order issued by Governor Tim Walz. Credit unions and banks, including NorthRidge Community Credit Union, are considered essential businesses, and will remain open to serve our Members. We continue to operate with extreme caution and are following all guidelines set by the CDC, as well as the Minnesota Department of Health.

We will continue to conduct business through our drive-thrus in Hoyt Lakes and Virginia, phone calls, emails, and our wide range of digital services. We have staffed a new call center available 8:00am to 5:00pm Monday through Friday. Our lending services are also fully operational. We are increasing the sanitization of surfaces, using protective measures where appropriate, and have some of our team working from home when possible. We encourage all Members to use our digital and phone services whenever possible.

We are stronger together, so when we work to support each other, lift each other up, and show that we care, our communities will benefit. Please know that your credit union is here to do just that. If you’re feeling financial stress and need support, we are here for you.

Beginning​ Friday, March 20th​, NorthRidge Community Credit Union will begin preparations for temporary, limited office closures. Drive throughs in Hoyt Lakes and Virginia will remain open, ATMs, online and mobile banking, and online and phone lending services will remain open.​ All b​ranch lobbies will be closed until at least March 31​st​, at which time we will re-evaluate the situation. We have been, and will continue to take all necessary precautions for the safety of our members and employees. ​We know this is a hard time for everyone, so we are committed to making this as convenient as we possibly can for you in the ways listed below!

This temporary closure will mean that Hibbing and Ely will not have any in-person services available at this time. With this very fluid situation, we are continuing to implement necessary Minnesota Department of Health and CDC official recommendations and will base further office decisions on that advice. If situations warrant, we may be changing our office operations as necessary. Please connect with us through our drive-throughs at all three locations, ATMs, mobile app, and our new call center​ ​(877) 672-2848​.​ We apologize for any inconvenience and hope that you understand why these measures have become necessary.
