Local Dough

We are Iron Range born and bread (PS: we do know the difference between bread and bred, this is just more fun!). NorthRidge has been serving the Iron Range since 1957. We understand our unique communities, and deeply understand the necessity to shop local, spend local, and bank local.

As a credit union our philosophy is people helping people and we have committed to supporting our local Iron Range communities and small businesses as much as we can. You can help too, when you spend local, your dollars are supporting YOUR local families, schools, non-profit organizations, infrastructure, and so much more. The Iron Range is made of steel, but we are stronger together (see what we did there?).

Local Dough is not only about encouraging you to spend local, but to save local as well. Credit unions are not-for-profit and community based. We are committed to serving our communities by volunteering, fundraising, donating to local causes, and participating in community events and programs. When you join a credit union like NorthRidge, you become a member. As a member, you are a shareholder, an owner. As a member, you can run for election for the credit union’s board of directors. Each member gets one vote towards electing the board. When you serve on the board, you help make decisions about the operations of your credit union. Because we’re born and bred on the Iron Range: you, your vote, and your voice matter AND make a difference. That’s some real local dough.
