Checking Accounts

Membership Eligibility. To open a NorthRidge Checking Account, you must be a member of NorthRidge Community Credit Union. To be eligible for membership in the Credit Union you must be an individual or entity qualifying within the Credit Union's field of membership, must have a valid Social Security Number (SSN) or Tax Identification Number (TIN), and must purchase and maintain at least one share as required by Credit Union Bylaws. You authorize us to check your account, credit, and employment history and obtain a credit report from third parties, including credit reporting agencies, to verify your eligibility for the accounts and services you request.

For all reward checking accounts you may qualify for monthly rewards if you meet the applicable minimum qualification requirements for the monthly qualification cycle. To meet the requirements per cycle, you must: 1) make 15 debit card purchases that post and settle your account; 2) be enrolled in and receive e-statements. The monthly qualification cycle starts on the first day of each month and ends on the last day of the month.

Account transactions may take one or more business days from the date the transaction was made to post and settle to the account. All transactions must post and settle during the monthly qualification cycle in order to qualify for the account’s reward. The following transactions are not qualified transactions in earning account rewards: 1) ATM processed transactions; 2) transfers between accounts; 3) debit purchases processed by merchants and received by our credit union as ATM transactions; 4) PIN based or signature based transactions, non-retail payment transactions, and purchases made with debit cards not issued by our credit union. If you fail to meet the above monthly qualification requirements, you will not receive rewards for that month.

NorthRidge Elite Evergreen Checking. The Evergreen Elite Checking account is a tiered rate account. If you meet the minimum qualification requirements during the monthly qualification cycle, the first dividend rate and annual percentage yield listed in the Rate Addendum will apply if your balance is $15,000.00 or below. The second dividend rate and annual percentage yield listed for this account will apply if your balance is from $15,000.01 to $25,000.00. The third dividend rate and annual percentage yield listed for this account will apply if your balance is $25,000.01 or greater. Each dividend rate will apply only to that portion of the account balance within each balance range. In addition, we will refund up to $25.00 (max. $4.99 per single transaction) in ATM fees assessed at nationwide ATMs we do not own or operate. Evergreen Elite Checking dividend earned will compound in your account as listed in the Rate Addendum and ATM fees reimbursed will be deposited to the prime share account unless directed elsewhere. If you do not meet all of the minimum qualification requirements during the monthly qualification cycle, you will not earn dividends in your Evergreen Elite Checking account and ATM fees will not be refunded to you.

NorthRidge Evergreen Rewards Checking. For Evergreen Rewards Checking accounts you will receive 4% cash back on up to $250.00 in PIN based/signature based debit card purchases that post and settle to your account if you meet the minimum qualification requirements during the monthly qualification cycle. A maximum of $10.00 cash back may be earned per monthly qualification cycle. In addition, we will refund up to $25.00 (max. $4.99 per single transaction) in ATM fees assessed at nationwide ATMs we do not own or operate. Cash back earned and fees refunded will be deposited into your Prime Share account unless you designate the rewards into another Share Account. If you do not meet all of the minimum qualification requirements during the monthly qualification cycle, you will not earn a cash back reward and ATM fees will not be refunded to you.
